Conversions typically involve the replacement of a BMW’s original drive train components (engine, transmission, differential) with those of a newer and more powerful model. Integrating the two systems imbues a classic car with the virtues of today’s cleaner, smoother running and more powerful BMWs.
Our first conversion was performed in the early 1980s and involved the installation of a European-only high performance engine in a 3-series along with suspension and brake upgrades. We followed that project with the conversion of a 2002 to electronic fuel injection.
Since then we have built a number of project cars that match or exceed the BMW factory’s level of engineering and workmanship.
